Research & open questions

What we're working on, and what we don't know yet.

We look at what actually makes life stressful for people and their families, what the evidence says about where AI helps and where it doesn't, and we publish what we learn, including the questions we can't answer yet.

How the work gets decided

Every thread on this page started as somebody's real problem: a stressful week, a lonely evening, a family stretched too thin. We build from those, not from a roadmap.

Where we need help
01
Does it lower stress at home?

The best evidence on AI and stress comes from workplaces like hospitals and support centers. We want to know whether a personal assistant does the same for families, and how to measure it without reading anyone's conversations.

02
Helping without adding work

Many people say AI tools have added to their workload. Every check-in Budulai asks for has to save more time than it costs. We are still finding where that line is.

03
Support, not a substitute

Budulai should help you show up for the people in your life, not take their place. We are thinking carefully about what that means for how he talks and when he steps back.

04
How loud should an assistant be

Budulai currently speaks only when a decision is yours. We do not yet know whether that is too quiet in the first month.
